The right solution for solvent-based 2K production
OPX301 suits manufacturers already using solvent-based acrylic or polyurethane 2K systems who want a deep, uniform matt finish without rebuilding the production process.
Near-zero gloss in a familiar solvent-based 2K process, without a UV or excimer line.

OPX301 suits manufacturers already using solvent-based acrylic or polyurethane 2K systems who want a deep, uniform matt finish without rebuilding the production process.
OPX301 is a transparent, solvent-based two-component polyurethane finish. It is designed for a standard spray area and is applied over a prepared solvent-based 2K base.
The solution adds the ULTRA S-MATT look to an existing production cycle without switching to water-based materials, buying UV equipment, or changing the established application process.

Standard spray booth and horizontal OPX301 application
For production using solvent-based acrylic and polyurethane materials. The lower layer creates the colour, while transparent OPX creates the matt level and final appearance.
For manufacturers choosing water-based technology. The AOX branch includes transparent and white versions plus a converter for tinting.
OPX301 is not pigmented. A pigmented acrylic or polyurethane lower layer creates the colour, then transparent OPX301 provides near-zero gloss, an anti-glare effect, and the final tactile quality.
Separating colour from finish allows one transparent product to be used over many shades.

Substrate, primer, colour layer, and transparent OPX301
The same OPX301 can be used over white, pastel, dark, and saturated shades. A collection of fronts can therefore share one matt level without a separate finish recipe for every colour.

The colour changes while the surface character remains consistent

Key properties of the finished OPX301 ULTRA S-MATT surface
Virtually no reflected light.
A uniform appearance across flat parts and large fronts.
A calm, deep perception of colour.
Improved resistance to polishing and yellowing, with thermal recovery of minor marks.
OPX301 is intended for interior furniture, cabinet doors, interior fittings, and flat panels.
For worktops, floors, and heavily loaded horizontal surfaces, the system must be validated with separate testing.

Interior applications for OPX301
Choose OPX301 for a solvent-based 2K process, a transparent finish over an established colour, near-zero gloss, and standard spraying without a UV or excimer line.
AOX1018 suits projects prioritising a water-based 2K system; UVX and UVNX suit high-output UV lines; VMAOX provides an ultra-matt metallic effect.
